This AI4Health project aims to develop AI and machine learning algorithms to aid the diagnosis of swallowing disorders and improve patient outcomes in patients with dysphagia. Visual interpretation of the movements of the swallowing mechanism in relation to bolus flow and airway invasion are manually rated by clinicians. The goal of the project is to develop cutting-edge AI techniques to streamline the process by reducing subjectivity and human efforts, with high efficiency, interpretability, and reliability.
